Threw it on the roof rack, hit dirt roads for a week straight. Didn't budge, didn't drop signal once.
A housing and mount kit for the Starlink Mini.
Goes on in seconds, comes off in one motion,
holds at highway speed.
Go on r/Starlink. Half the posts are the same story: a brand-new Mini, wedged in a sunroof or sliding on the dash,
one hard brake or one gust at 70 mph — and the dish is cracked.
The Mini is built to travel.
It is not built to survive travel.
That last line is the reason SETBOX exists.
Your Starlink Mini is not included. SETBOX is the housing
and mounting system that protects the dish you already own.
Clean the spot, press on the steel
VHB plates. 90 seconds, once.
Click the housing onto the magnets.
It seats itself.
Drive. Pop it off anytime: tree cover,
campsite, another car.
ABS is not a budget material. It's what automotive engineers specify for ECU housings — the box that protects the most sensitive electronics in your truck. Same job here: protect a $599 dish, outdoors, in motion, in any weather.
And it was tested somewhere most aluminum mounts have never been.

SETBOX is designed and manufactured in Ukraine. The housings that became this product were developed for conditions where losing connectivity is not an inconvenience — it's a real problem for real people.
Every design decision — the weight, the fit, the way it takes a hit — was made under constraints no trail will ever match. We won't dramatize it. We'll just say: this housing had a job before it had a brand.

Every material here is a legit choice. ABS is just
the right one for a housing that lives on a roof
in Colorado winters.

Install took me maybe two minutes. Was skeptical about plastic. Not after a season of washboard roads.
Installed it before a trip halfway across the country. Thousands of highway miles and plenty of rough offroad trails, and it handled everything without issue.
Liked the color of the case, and that there are different colors to choose from. The magnets are very strong, or you can mount it with the double-sided tape.
The first 50 kits go for $99 instead of $129. In return we ask one thing: after your first trip, post real photos and an honest review. Good, bad, or mixed. That's the deal.
Keep your $599 Starlink Mini alive on any surface, at any speed — one kit mounts on steel, aluminum, fiberglass and glass.
If it cracks, rattles loose, or simply doesn't convince you — send it back within 60 days for a full refund. No forms designed to make you give up.
No. SETBOX is the housing and mounting system. It is built to fit the Starlink Mini you already own.
No. ABS is transparent to the signal, which is exactly why there is no metal over the dish. No effect on speed, no effect on latency.
Yes. Injection-molded ABS is what carmakers use for exterior trim, mirror housings and grille surrounds: parts expected to live outside a vehicle for a decade. This is not a 3D print and not a budget material.
The housing is rated from −40 °F to 122 °F, and the ABS is pigmented with a UV stabilizer, so it holds its color instead of chalking out after a summer on the roof.
White, Grey, Olive and Black are available. If you are running desert heat or parking out in the open all summer, pick White: light colors reflect heat instead of absorbing it, which keeps the dish cooler. For normal use any color works.
None. It is a passive housing. The Starlink Mini itself draws roughly 20 to 40 W depending on load.
A stolen Starlink is worth nothing to whoever takes it. The dish is registered to your account in the app, and without that account it cannot be activated.
Steel, aluminum, fiberglass and glass. One kit covers all four.
No. The metal plates for aluminum, fiberglass and glass are included in the box.
No. The neodymium magnets hold the housing on their own. No holes, no adhesive on your paint, no permanent modification, and the whole kit lifts off leaving the panel as it was.
About two minutes. Set the housing where you want it and let the magnets do the work.
Yes, at highway speeds. Owners have run it thousands of highway miles and through rough offroad trails without it shifting.
No. Every magnet face is rubber coated, so nothing metal ever touches the panel.
Roof, roof rack, hood, tailgate, anything reasonably flat with a clear view of the sky. Nothing about the kit is vehicle specific.
